If you're looking for a movie with a little more spice than the average romantic comedy, Sillunu Oru Kadhal is just the ticket! Directed by Shafi, this family-friendly story is set in the 1980s. It tracks a young couple's growing love until their families come between them and threaten to put an end to their blossoming romance. The film stars popular Tamil actors Jai and Isha Talwar as Raja and Anjali respectively. The film's soundtrack was composed by Manoj, while cinematography was handled by R. Madhi and editing by G. Delfin. "Sillunu Oru Kadhal" opened to largely positive reviews and has proved to be a popular romantic comedy in Tamil cinema. Raja (Jai) is an aspiring lawyer who works at a law firm in Chennai, but dreams of getting into the big time one day. He lives with his mother (Swarnamalya), who works as a maid, and has an older brother (Guru Somasundaram). The family's circumstances have forced him to grow up quickly. He is currently in a relationship with Anjali (Isha Talwar), the daughter of a wealthy family, who lives in Singapore with her dad (Nassar). In an effort to make it big, Raja begins to take bribes from a local politician in order to get ahead. When his brother finds out about his activities he chastises him and even takes a knife to Raja in an attempt to scare him into changing his ways. On this same day, Anjali is forced by her family to return home early from hers because she has been caught studying instead of going out on a date. She realises, however, that she doesn't want to break up with Raja and calls her dad and asks him to help them date. After much persuasion, Raja's brother relents and asks his friends to do a raid on their office to recover whatever evidence they can find. Unfortunately for them, they don't find anything but are able to convince the police of their wrongdoing. Angry at his brother’s actions, Raja decides that he must return home for a while. Anjali's dad agrees to let her visit Raja after some convincing by her mom (Seethalakshmi). The couple get married after a court wedding and settle into married life. Raja gets a new job with the help of Anjali’s dad, and in an unexpected turn of events, he becomes one of the partners at his new firm. Raja's brother is persistent in his efforts to convince his brother to quit taking bribes, but Raja is adamant that he will not give up the "easy" money until he becomes successful on his own. cfa1e77820
